Arber Xhekaj involved in a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes?
A trade involving Arber Xhekaj and Martin Necas, between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Montreal Canadiens, continues to generate buzz.
As we reported in the past few hours, this possibility was mentioned by Jean-Charles Lajoie of TVA Sports:
But JiC is not the only one talking about it.
Justin Blades, from the excellent network Eyes On The Prize, has just shared this possibility, and the reactions are numerous on social media.
A trade involving Arber Xhekaj and Martin Necas? Jean-Charles Lajoie's statement is gaining traction
Under his article titled "The possibility of a Xhekaj for Necas trade," we find the following reaction:
"Yeah that'd a huge no from me. We have other assets on D with overlapping skillsets. No one brings the combination Xhekaj does. Having a guy with his toughness/physical game that can play a regular shift and contribute some offensively is such an asset and hard to find."
There are other subscribers who believe that Xhekaj is an American Hockey League defenseman, but well, it's not even worth arguing with them.
And you, does this trade possibility resonate with you? Would you trade Arber Xhekaj in a deal to acquire Martin Necas?
According to the responses from our first home poll, 66.3% of fans would refuse to trade Arber Xhekaj and a 2024 second-round pick for Necas.
That says a lot.
