Flames Looking to Add a Center per Frank Seravalli, and Kirby Dach's Name Has Come Up
Among the surprises at the start of the NHL season are the Calgary Flames.
While their Alberta rivals, the Edmonton Oilers, are struggling, the Flames are on fire (no pun intended).
It's worth noting that this bodes well for the Flames' 2025 first-round pick, which belongs to the Canadiens, as Kent Hughes acquired it alongside Sean Monahan in the summer of 2022.
With this strong start to the season, it's likely that Flames GM Craig Conroy will look to add some reinforcements. Insider Frank Seravalli has revealed that a Canadiens player could be targeted by the former NHL player.

According to The Hockey Writers, the Flames intend to add depth at the center position, and Kirby Dach's name has come up.
Seravalli suggests that Dach's potential remains unknown due to the numerous injuries he's faced over recent years, though he could still break out at any moment.
Selected third overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2019 draft, the tall right-shot center hasn't had an impressive start to the season under Martin St. Louis' direction.
As we know, the Flames and the Canadiens have traded in the past, and if Kent Hughes receives a call from his Flames counterpart, he'll likely be open to listening.
However, the offer would need to be quite enticing for the Canadiens to part with Kirby, as, at 23, he has yet to reach his full potential.
