Kent Hughes and the Canadiens finally have their answer on Jake Allen's value

The name that catches our attention here is goaltender Antti Raanta, and his waiver is certainly bad news for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens in the Jake Allen case.

This waiver definitely throws a wrench in Kent Hughes's plans. Why would a team pay to acquire Allen through a trade when they could acquire Raanta for free?
These are two very similar goaltenders and it possibly just blew up ongoing negotiations by Kent Hughes.
Stay tuned, but don't be surprised if the Canadiens unfortunately end the season with three goaltenders. We have our answer regarding the value of Jake Allen, which is evidently very low.
