In the last few hours, we have been talking to you about this extremely worrying scene that occurred over the weekend, involving Colorado Avalanche star forward Valeri Nichushkin.
He was not in the Avalanche lineup against the Seattle Kraken nor with the team, after suddenly leaving for his homeland without giving a specific reason.
What is worrying in Nichushkin's case is the well-known political situation in his country. Alex Ovechkin also left earlier this season, but for family reasons.
In Nichushkin's case, it would not be for such reasons. It's really strange.
Nichushkin would have been escorted to the airport with security, which shows the seriousness of the situation.
We have not heard from him since, but we hoped to see him back in Colorado for the team's practice today, or at least to have some news.
Unfortunately, this did not happen. We only know that he was not there and there were concerned faces in Colorado.
A case to follow, and hopefully we will have good news to report soon.
Nichushkin took a plane to go somewhere (and it doesn't seem to be to Colorado since he was absent today).
This is obviously extremely worrying.
