Yesterday, I caught a tweet from Olivier Primeau, as he appeared to be snacking or having a drink of some sort near (or with) the Montreal Canadiens players. The influencer, who is polarizing the networks, mentioned that if the Canadiens had a season like the atmosphere he saw at the diner last night, fans would have quite a season.
Jonathan Drouin was among the 12 players who were gathered together for a snack, which shows that he, despite the speculations that have been circulating about him lately, seems to be in better shape than he was last April. I remind you that he skated yesterday with his teammates at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard.
That being said, one can say what one wants about the information Primeau slipped in, but what I retain in all this is the positive message he wanted to deliver. Despite the loss of Phillip Danault, Corey Perry and Jesperi Kotkaniemi, the leadership group continues in the same direction as last year, that is to say, displaying the family attitude that Shea Weber established when he arrived in this dressing room in 2016.
Although there are questions about certain positions, such as third and fourth line centers, Marc Bergevin has once again built a strong lineup that could surprise some in the 2021-22 campaign. We risk standing on the end of our sofas once again while watching our dear Habs, more and more tasty!
