We know that Kent Hughes is really interested in Dubois and we know that Dubois is really interested in the CH.
Now, the general managers of the Tricolore and the Jets must find a common ground, to complete a transaction, otherwise Winnipeg risks losing an excellent center player "for nothing", if Dubois indeed signs in Montreal in two seasons.
Hughes has been in negotiations with the Jets for a few weeks now to settle the matter. Even Dubois himself is expecting to be traded to the Habs.
TWO NAMES SURFACE
According to information from the excellent Arpon Basu, who covers CH activities for The Athletic, we now have names.
Two names of players who would actually be likely to be included in a deal for Dubois, as Keven Mawn reports.
We're talking about Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson here.
That would leave room for Kent Hughes, to sign Dubois long term, and at the same time, it would offer the Jets some interesting value.
So the two players included here would potentially be Anderson and Dvorak, but that doesn't mean that would be enough in Winnipeg's eyes. In addition to those two players, Kevin Cheveldayoff could demand another youngster or draft pick.
Some people are suggesting Dvorak, Anderson + the Panthers' first round pick in 2023, but we think that's pretty expensive, for a player we could sign in less than two years. What do you think?
To be followed closely!
