On Thursday afternoon, the world of hockey learned that Logan Mailloux was suspended indefinitely by the Ontario Junior League. The suspension came as a result of his sexual actions in Sweden in November 2020. Many people were expecting a sanction from the OHL, but this severe, I'm not convinced my right-hand neighbor had any idea.

By the way, a TVA Sports reporter raised a very fair question via Twitter and it has generated a ton of comments, some of which are adamant about the young man: they don't want him in Montreal. That said, here is the question in question from Quebec journalist Andy Mailly-Pressoir.

Yes, one has the right to wonder about this since the storm was in full swing in Quebec when Mailloux was called up by the Montreal Canadiens, the most publicized team in the National Hockey League. However, is it really because of this rain that Mailloux was suspended indefinitely by the OHL? I believe that the London Knights and the OHL had this plan in their mind before he was even selected by the Habs.

Nevertheless, many fans believe that Mailloux would not have received any sanction if he had been drafted in the 2nd round by an organization less popular than the Montreal Canadiens. Is this true?
