Scott Mellanby joined the Montreal Canadiens in 2012, as Director of Player Personnel, to become Assistant General Manager in 2014. Last November, however, he opted to leave the Red, White, and Blue organization, without any comment from it.
Subsequently, we learned that Mellanby had most likely left his position because he had been promised the position of general manager, but the Montreal Canadiens did not go in that direction.
That said, the former member of the Sainte-Flanelle could be getting a job soon, who will be interviewed by the Chicago Blackhawks somewhere today.
Peter Chiarelli, who does not have a great reputation, will also have an interview with the Hawks, but it will be tomorrow for him.
