A forward from the Canadiens organization would be on the verge of announcing his departure for the KHL
We are waiting for a confirmation, but according to what some sources and media covering the KHL report, Quebec forward Danick Martel will sign in the KHL.
Nothing confirmed at the moment.
Certainly something to keep an eye on.
We were surprised to hear this, and that's why we are waiting for confirmation, but it's a big rumor that is currently circulating.
Martel, 28 years old, is a 5-foot-8, 176-pound forward from Drummondville.
He collected 12 points in 26 games with the Laval Rocket last season and was very solid the previous year, in 2021-22. (33 points in the regular season and 15 points in 15 playoff games)
Remember that in a press conference last month, Jean-François Houle, who is the head coach of the CH farm team, announced that he really does not believe that Danick Martel will be back next season.
The two (Houle and Martel) even had an emotional interview. So it confirms that Martel would leave the CH organization.
We sincerely wish him the best of luck for the future. He is very talented.
