In the 2015 NHL Draft, the Boston Bruins had three consecutive first round picks. They set their sights on forwards Jake Debrusk and Zach Senyshyn, along with defenseman Jakub Zboril.
One row after these three youngsters were selected, a certain Mathew Barzal was selected by the New York Islanders...
It's not embarrassing to say that the Bruins missed the boat that year.
Plus, Zach Senyshyn just asked the Bruins for a trade, having played just 14 games with the big club since turning pro in 2017. In the process, he's accumulated three points.
The 24-year-old right winger would love the chance to play in the NHL. An opportunity that the Bruins have clearly not given him over the years. However, he is very grateful to the Massachusetts organization: "I want to play in the NHL. I feel like I haven't been given that opportunity in the Bruins organization."
Recall that even Jake Debrusk reportedly asked for a trade at the beginning of this season. It's not going well for Boston with their prospects...
