It is well documented that Canadian NHL teams have had their share of problems in the NHL playoffs for many years, and some teams (even though they are dominant in the season) like the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Maple Leafs, have simply not performed in the playoffs for too long.
On this subject, the journalist Tony Marinaro (TSN 690) made a rather simple publication, but it really became viral and launched several animated debates on social networks.
It's getting a lot of attention.
What is this famous publication? Well, a few days after the early elimination of the Toronto Maple Leafs at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Marinaro published the following table:
Number of playoff rounds won by Canadian NHL teams over the past decade.
MONTREAL - 8
VANCOUVER - 4
OTTAWA - 3
WINNIPEG - 3
EDMONTON - 2
CALGARY - 2
TORONTO - 0
He then asked the question: has the Montreal Canadiens been the most dominant Canadian team in the NHL over the past decade?
As reported by our colleagues at Marqueur.com, that's all it took to spark the hatred of Toronto fans, who are trying to discredit the Tricolore (who finished 32nd and last in 2022)
What is your opinion on this? Are Leafs fans right or are they just jealous?
