In the last few minutes, the man who is now a former Montreal Canadiens defenseman, Alexander Romanov, officially reacted publicly to his trade:
"Thank you so much to the fans and the Montreal Canadiens organization, for the support and for the trust in me. I appreciate it so much! You will always be in my heart." - Alexander Romanov
You can really feel that this is emotional and from the heart. Romanov loved Montreal and its fans. By the way, if you look at the comments under the post, the Montreal Canadiens organization has officially responded!
We will miss you Romy! Good luck with the Islanders! ❤️" - CanadiensMTL
Let's obviously recall yesterday's monster deal.
In his very first draft, Montreal Canadiens GM Kent Hughes completed two major transactions.
To the Islanders:
Alexander Romanov (LD)
No. 98 Overall
vs
In Montreal:
No. 13 Overall
--------------
In Montreal:
Kirby Dach (C)
vs
In Chicago:
No. 13 Overall
No. 66 Overall
The big center Kirby Dach arrives with the Tricolore, while Romanov leaves.
Looking back, are you happy with the trade?
