According to a very implausible rumor from Eklund/HockeyBuzz, the Montreal Canadiens would like to bring back forward Max Domi from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Remember that the Habs had traded him last year, along with a third round pick in 2020, for the stud himself, Josh Anderson.

Let's just say that this rumor is to be taken with a lot of humor. The chances of seeing Domi back in the Red, White and Blue uniform in terms of percentage are about... zero! Max Domi was obviously an unloved one in the organization, as he saw his ice time significantly reduced, following his 72-point season in 2018-2019. He no longer seemed to be in the good graces of Claude Julien and the coaching staff once. One could even say that his aura seemed very negative in the locker room...

Domi is coming off a rough first season in Columbus under John Tortorella, with 24 points, including 9 goals, in 54 games. The Seattle Kraken even turned their nose up at him in the expansion draft when he was left unprotected by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jarmo Kekalainen is reportedly trying to find a buyer for the Canadian forward, but it would be surprising if the Tricolore took the bait. Unless Marc Bergevin is really desperate!

Let's talk! If Max Domi was back with the Habs, on which lineup could we see him play? At the center of the third unit, without a doubt.

Here's a sample:

Don't worry, these are just guesses. This rumor is to be taken with very little seriousness...
