After acquiring Jonathan Huberdeau and Mackenzie Weegar, general manager Brad Treliving is reportedly looking for a new trading partner.
He wants to add another element.
According to journalist Steve Macfarlane, the Flames are open to several options. He mentions the names of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane (Blackhawks), Josh Bailey and Anthony Beauvillier (Islanders), Tyler Bertuzzi (Red Wings), and also, he believes that the Flames are also interested in acquiring Christian Dvorak or Josh Anderson (Canadiens).
In the case of the Islanders, if they do sign Nazem Kadri, a player will have to leave and a club like Calgary could take advantage of that.
In the case of the Canadiens, to help sign Kirby Dach, a player like Dvorak could also leave, but Kent Hughes will be quite expensive.
Other trade possibly announced soon from the Flames.
One thing is certain, many experts believe that Calgary will try to make at least one more significant acquisition between now and the start of the season.
Brad Treliving is working hard.
Treliving is reportedly interested in trading power forward Milan Lucic and is reportedly close to making it happen. This would make room in his lineup for one of the possible acquisitions mentioned above.
The Boston Bruins would be interested in bringing Lucic back home, he still earns 6 million per year and his contract is up in less than a year.
This will be a really interesting file to watch. You should know that there could be a lot of movement in Calgary in the next few weeks.
Will Kent Hughes and the Flames general manager make another trade together?
In any case, keep an eye out for a possible trade involving Milan Lucic, it seems imminent.
