BREAKING NEWS for the Montreal Canadiens
PUBLICATION
Jeff Drouin
December 31, 2021 (1:05 PM)
The Montreal Canadiens remain excessively affected by COVID-19 cases within their group. We are talking about 15 players in isolation, and then, at noon, another case was confirmed, the one of Brandon Baddock.
Baddock had to be dressed last night as Jonathan Drouin was not feeling well at the start of the duel against the Carolina Hurricanes. Speaking of Jo Drouin, he skated in the early afternoon, which is great news in itself. In Gallagher's case, he did not jump on the rink (lower body).
That said, Brendan Gallagher is no longer on the COVID-19 protocol, but Paul Byron, Laurent Dauphin, Mike Hoffman, Artturi Lehkonen, Tyler Toffoli Ben Chiarot, Joel Edmundson, Jeff Petry, Chris Wideman, Jake Allen and Cayden Primeau are still there.
Let's hope Baddock hasn't contaminated other teammates, otherwise the Canadiens will have to recall Jan Mysak and Kaiden Guhle for real.
