Jonathan Drouin is back in force since his return to the team's environment. You can tell he's comfortable with himself. He's happy, he's smiling and everything seems less heavy. The 26-year-old remains in good mental condition and now has the tools to help him for the future.
That said, since Dominique Ducharme and his counterparts have been putting together the combinations, Drouin has been playing with Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson, forming a top line trio. This unit complements each other perfectly and a chemistry has developed since they started training together. This will be a great support for the Toffoli-Suzuki-Caufield unit.
Still on the subject of No. 92, who is brimming with talent and is sharp mentally, "Tiger" Michel Bergeron put a little pressure on him by indicating that Drouin would finish as the Montreal Canadiens' leading scorer.
"Jonathan Drouin is having fun and it's obvious. In this case, we must recognize the humanity of Bergevin who understood the situation and respected his player. He remained part of the team despite everything and at no time did the organization suggest that he should earn his place at training camp again. They put him in a position to be successful, along with Anderson and Christian Dvorak, and you can tell he's happy. I even caught myself recently predicting that he would finish as the team's leading scorer..." - Bergy
I'm not saying it's impossible, but in my opinion, it's putting unnecessary pressure on his shoulders, isn't it?
