At a press conference earlier today, Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher revealed that he received a very interesting call in the last few hours.
He was invited to represent Canada at the World Hockey Championships, but he declined the invitation (by phone) to take care of his health and to give his body time to recover.
He admitted that his medical bill could be heavy.
Still, despite a meager 7 goals this season, Gallagher was invited to play for Team Canada, which says a lot about the player and the opinion that professional officials have of him.

Gally added that he wants to come back stronger next year and recapture his great years of offensive production.
