As you know, on this day of the Montreal Canadiens' season review, many players and managers are talking to the media.

Kent Hughes mentioned earlier today that he wants to name a new captain for next season.

On this subject, Caufield and Suzuki gave a big message to Kent Hughes for next season:

"I want to take a leadership role starting next season. We have several good candidates (for captain), including veterans with a lot of experience. Either way, I want to lead by example." - Nick Suzuki

Suzuki said he is ready to take on the captaincy role, if he is the lucky one.

Caufield adds:

"For me, I absolutely see him (being a captain). The way he carries himself on and off the ice every day, he's already a real pro and that's despite his young age." - Cole Caufield

In summary, as reported by John Lu (TSN):

Suzuki on the prospect of being a captain: "I want to take on a leadership role... We have a lot of good candidates, older guys who have been through a lot."

Caufield's take: "For me, I really see him in that role. The way he carries himself every day on the ice and off the ice; he's a real pro at a young age.

Both players later added that they will stay in town to attend Guy Lafleur's funeral, but will be away for the World Hockey Championship.
