But who are the real untouchables of the Montreal Canadiens?

We all know that the Montreal Canadiens are beginning a major change in their culture and the type of team they want to present for the future. Kent Hughes wants a talented team focused on speed, unlike Bergevin who fired in every direction in the final moments.
That being said, among the untouchables are certainly Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield and Alexander Romanov. But, according to Renaud Lavoie, Josh Anderson is one of the untouchable potentials, as is (perhaps) Paul Byron.
«He (Anderson) is untouchable in a way. What is Canadiens leadership saying now? That the team is too slow. If you trade Anderson, you don't improve your speed. I would add Paul Byron to this group," said Renaud Lavoie.
Both players fit in perfectly with Jeff Gorton and Hughes' image of their Canadiens. On top of that, they are two excellent leaders and two players committed to the team logo.
That is not part of the future solution in this environment.
