It's now D-Day, or KK-Day, as you want. In short, it's today that Marc Bergevin and the Montreal Canadiens will make a decision about Jesperi Kotkaniemi. According to the vibe of the moment, the Finn will never don the Montreal Canadiens jersey again, the team that selected him 3rd overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

We've been saying it for a week now: Marc Bergevin can't afford to match an inordinate offer. An illogical salary for a player who is still trying to break through his shell. Don Waddell and Tom Dundon bragged about a silly offer of $6,100,015 (the $15 in honor of KK's number) and the 20 dollars bonus. On top of all that, they trolled the Habs as hard as the Lightning after their Stanley Cup Final win.

That being said, Friday night I was sitting around a fire with my in-laws and a couple of friends, then speculating about what Bergevin's decision would be. Obviously, everyone sees Kotkaniemi leaving. It's clear. As for me, I made my prediction, the one I made on 91.9 Sports this week: Kotkaniemi is leaving and Christian Dvorak is coming. By the way, I'm not the only one who thinks this situation is evident...

In short, in all likelihood, the decision could be known in the morning, so stay tuned to find out what the next Montreal chapter will be.
