The Habs were finally back on the ice at the Bell Sports Complex to fine-tune certain aspects, including their massive attack and defensive structure, which has certainly been lacking in the preseason games.

That being said, Ryan Poehling, Alex Belzile, Cedric Paquette, Chris Wideman, Kaiden Guhle and Sami Niku all jumped on the ice for practice... I'd like to remind you that teams have until 5pm to submit their list of players who will be playing.

Note that the 4th unit was made up of Cedric Paquette, who was making an official return, Mathieu Perreault and Artturi Lehkonen. Alex Belzile and Ryan Poehling were the extras, which indicates that Poehling should leave for Laval by the end of the afternoon.

Poehling did not rotate much, which proves Laval's point...

Here's the Montreal Canadiens picture, the one they are expected to display on Wednesday in Toronto against the Leafs to open the season.

In the case of Kaiden Guhle, he was an extra with Sami Niku. Brett Kulak, on the other hand, was playing on Petry's left side. It's funny, but we're still back to Kulak, despite the additions to try to replace him. Again, it didn't work. He's doing an honest job, Kulak, let's face it!

Anyway, be sure to stay tuned today as the official Habs lineup will be announced. Who will be Jake Allen's second? Cayden Primeau or Samuel Montembeault? To be continued...
