Cale Makar just broke an all-time record

As we know, Cale Makar is in a league of his own. He is arguably the best offensive defenseman in the entire NHL at only 24 years old.
When you think about the fact that the young man just passed Bobby Orr, Raymond Bourque, Paul Coffey and all the best defensemen that have stepped on the NHL ice over the years, it's pretty impressive.
In fact, Makar became the fastest defenseman in NHL history to reach the 200-point plateau in just 195 games. He's ahead of such greats as Sergei Zubov (207 games), Brian Leetch (211 games) and Phil Housley (212 games), just to name a few.
A feat worthy of the greats and fully deserved for the latest Conn Smythe Trophy recipient. Makar still has a long way to go to break Raymond Bourque's career record of 1,579 points, but at this rate, if he stays healthy, he could very well get there.
Makar accomplished the feat with nothing less than his 5th goal of the season:
