Cole Caufield has been on fire since Martin St-Louis took over the helm of the Canadiens. He's been racking up points at a furious pace, almost giving the impression that he could be back in the Calder Trophy race.
However, Caufield is more realistic about his individual performances and has set a specific goal. The young man would like to reach the 20-goal mark this season.
With 11 games left in the season, Caufield could very well reach his goal. Cole has scored 17 goals in 56 games. He can thank his new coach who seems to have given him a new lease on life as he has scored 16 goals under his direction.
Reaching his goal could motivate him for the next campaign. Some, including Renaud Lavoie, already think that he could score 40 goals next season!
