Cole Caufield's recall was predicted by one of his best friends
Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras is one of the best friends of Montreal Canadiens prospect Cole Caufield. Zegras made a bold prediction about Caufield at the beginning of the season, to score 40 goals.
However, Caufield's rookie season did not go as planned, as he was traded to the Laval Rocket, putting Zegras' prediction in jeopardy.
Then, Zegras made another prediction a few days earlier. Zegras mentioned that he had sent a text message to Caufield to reassure him that everything was going to be okay.
He also told his friend that he would be called back much sooner than he thought, which he was. Caufield's stay in Laval lasted only six games. He will be back in the Montreal Canadiens lineup tonight.
Popular opinion was that Caufield would stay in Laval for the rest of the season, but Zegras made a prediction that went against what people were saying.
Could he secretly have access to a crystal ball? 😉
