Connor Bedard is expected to be the first overall pick in the 2023 NHL draft, barring any major surprises. He is currently playing for Team Canada at the U18 World Junior Championship in Kaufbeuren, Germany.
The young man has already been compared to Connor McDavid several times, with good reason. This Thursday, he showed once again the extent of his talent with a superb shorthanded goal. Bedard, following this magnificent play, did not hesitate to let the opposing bench know...
The young Canadian scored 2 goals in the game and his dominance was once again on display. He helped, along with Kemell who scored a hat trick, to keep Team Canada in the game.
Finland eventually won the game 6-5 to advance to the next round, eliminating Canada in the process. The defending champions will not have a chance to retain their crown.
