Michael Pezzetta and Rafael Harvey-Pinard, who have greatly impressed during training camp and the preparatory games, are among the four players cut. In the case of Pezzetta, he is the only one who must go through the waivers before joining the Laval Rocket.

I cry foul and explained my reasons earlier this morning:

No, but, let's face it! Michael Pezzetta was better than Ryan Poehling... And by far. Far, far better. Every game he put on his jersey, he won in his own way and left his guts on the ice. By the way, where is Poehling's guts, I still can't find them... The worst part is that we could lose Pezzetta for nothing since coaches love to train this type of horse.

In the case of Rafael Harvey-Pinard, even though I was convinced that he would be able to get a job because of the circumstances, it is not the case. He will continue to perfect his game with the Rocket. Gianni Fairbrother did well, but against real NHL players on Tuesday night, it was more difficult.

So, in the end, Ryan Poehling and Alex Belzile are still on the team... With Mike Hoffman's injuries and Cedric Paquette's uncertainty, both could start the season in Montreal. At 30 years old, Belzile's experience and his heart are a big part of this epic.
