As the Minnesota Wild prepare to take on the St. Louis Blues in game six of this four of seven series, there is an important development.
That's goaltender Cam Talbot (not Marc-Andre Fleury), who is in front of the starting net at practice for his team.
So we should expect a change in front of the net, and we should expect Talbot to replace Fleury in front of the Minnesota cage. The Wild will play their most important game of the season without Fleury.
Flower allowed four goals (on 31 shots) in the most recent matchup and tonight his team faces elimination.
Fleury, 37, has a 9-2-0 record in Minnesota this season, a goals-against-average of 2.74 and a 0.910% save percentage. He was acquired at the trade deadline from Chicago for a conditional first round pick.
Talbot, 34, has a 32-12-4 record in Minnesota this season with a goals-against-average of 2.76 and a 0.911% save percentage.
