Dominique Ducharme gave the officials a good straight

Brendan Gallagher is a marked player across the NHL. He does not have the respect of officials, and then on Tuesday night, we had flagrant proof of that when the referees refused him a goal. This has been going on for years.
Let's face it, he has a very bad reputation, which can hurt him when he marks after an obstruction on the guard. Except that on the sequence, we can easily see that small number 11 is propelled to the net by Boris Katchouk. If it had been Nick Suzuki, for example, the goal would most likely have been allowed.
Following the meeting, Dominique Ducharme did not hesitate to point out the zebra men. He did not shout unfairly, but let us say that what he said was a synonym for the word, "If he does not have number 11 on his back, it is probably a goal!"
All in all, Gallagher was once again a victim of the unwritten rule, the «Gallagher rule». It's sad, but that's the way it is, and right now the decision can't be reversed.
