Like it or not, Dominique Ducharme has an impressive track record at the junior level.
He was a Memorial Cup winner in Halifax and a gold medal winner at the World Junior Championship in 2018. His two greatest accomplishments at the junior level were as a head coach in both cases.
Before joining the Montreal Canadiens as an assistant coach, Ducharme received two other offers.
The Washington Capitals and the St. Louis Blues wanted to hire him as a head coach in the AHL.
He finally decided to accept the offer from his childhood team, and eventually landed a head coaching job in the NHL.
Again, like it or not, he has an impressive record and will definitely find a job in professional hockey in the coming months.
