As part of the New York Islanders' home opener, a fan of the team was finally able to make the big ask he's been planning for a while.
All summer long, the man in question had been patiently waiting for his favorite team's home opener, to make his big request in spectacular fashion, but it took an unexpected turn.

Unfortunately, after some applause at the beginning, the whole thing quickly degenerated and the discomfort was perceptible in the arena.
Interestingly, even though his wife left, he went back to his bench to finish his drink and to finish to the game.
