Erik Gustafsson has been offered a great opportunity by an NHL team

The New York Islanders have announced that they have offered a professional tryout to defenseman Erik Gustafsson.
The offensive back spent the last few miles of last season in a Habs uniform, with whom he reached the Stanley Cup Final. He had two assists in five regular season games and added a goal and two assists in 16 playoff games.
He's not the most reliable defensively, but he could certainly provide a little offensive spark on the Islanders' power play. Barry Trotz could definitely help Gustafsson improve his defensive game, as he's not the sexiest guy on the ice when it comes to defending his territory.
Remember that he was once a fourth round pick of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2012 NHL draft.
