The San Jose Sharks will place controversial forward Evander Kane's name on waivers today.
If he is not claimed, he will head to the AHL to play with the San Jose Barracuda.
Kane, 30, is currently making $7 million per season until 2025. It would be surprising for any team to take a chance on this problem case in their organization, especially at that price.
He's talented, hence his 49 points in 56 games last year, but he can't walk away from the controversy, which is bound to scare other teams away.
