The Gatineau Olympiques have proceeded to cut goalie Ève Gascon. This one was part of the last three goalies to participate in the training camp of the Outaouais formation.

The Terrebonne native did not perform as well as expected on Saturday, allowing two goals on ten shots in 20 minutes of play. The Olympiques lost by a score of 7 to 3. That's why the organization will give its net to goaltenders Emerik Despatie and Rémi Poirier this year.

Even though she didn't break through the Olympics' lineup, she has no regrets. She proved to everyone that she was capable of playing with the boys and even performing. In her first outing, she turned aside 19 of 20 pucks thrown at her, which impressed the hockey world.

She is an inspiration to all girls who want to break into hockey. She is an example of determination. Congratulations to the Gatineau Olympiques and Louis Robitaille for this whole operation, it is obviously a very classy organization.

The 18-year-old will be heading to university in 2023, when she will be attending the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
