While the long-awaited Stanley Cup Finals series is now underway, it also means that the 2022 NHL Draft in Montreal is really coming up.
The organization's choice is not yet made, as far as the first overall pick goes. (although Logan Cooley now seems to be out of the equation)
To help give you a better idea of who Shane Wright and Juraj Slafkovsky are and can become, expert prospect analyst Corey Pronman (The Athletic) tried to predict how many points the two youngsters will make in the NHL in about five years.
See what the expert had to say, as reported by Marco Normandin:
SHANE WRIGHT: "I think he'll be a complete center of about 30 goals a year who plays 18-20 minutes a game and will reach his full potential with about 60-70 points a season."
JURAJ SLAFKOVSKY: "I see Slafkovsky developing into a power winger capable of scoring 35-40 goals per year and putting up 70-80 points per season." - Corey Pronman
Wright can be reminiscent of a Nick Suzuki, while Juraj Slafkovsky is more like a Mikko Rantanen (a little less productive)
Knowing this, which would be your choice? Shane Wright or Juraj Slafkovsky?
