Earlier today, we mentioned how Alexander Ovechkin reacted when he was told about the strange situation Ivan Fedotov was in.
This situation led us to wonder if other Russian players, like Alexander Romanov to name one, were safe in their native Russia. Some even wondered if Romanov would arrive late (or not at all), in North America, to join the CH.
During his press conference on Monday, Kent Hughes reassured everyone that the organization is in constant communication with the young defenseman. The latter should even return to town in the next few days.
This is great news for Romanov and hopefully other NHL teams will pay the same attention to the current situation in Russia.
