Daniel Audette, a fifth-round pick from the Montreal Canadiens in 2014, is no longer in North America, having joined Europe in 2020. The ultimate goal of this journey remains to return to the American Hockey League. At least, according to his initial statements on this subject.

After only one season in the SM-liiga, a colossal campaign, he left for the KHL (Vityaz de Podolsk), the second best circuit after the NHL. In this league, Donald's son is a leader. The 25-year-old is ranked 22nd in the circuit. Wow!

Katherine Harvey-Pinard joined Audette on the phone to chat with him, and he made no secret of his desire to receive a call from Team Canada to participate in the upcoming Olympics.

«Having a chance to go to the Olympics is rare, so it's exciting. But at the same time, it's disappointing not to have the chance to see the best in the world play together.

If they contact me, that would be amazing. Otherwise.... It's not my decision. I played as well as I could this year, I think, so if they're interested, it would be really fun to go, for sure.»

It would be really great if the 5'9 forward was contacted by Team Canada. I remind you that he spent four campaigns with the Montreal Canadiens, the IceCaps St.John's and the Laval Rocket.

Let's hope that he receives this famous phone call, which could allow him to live a dream!

I conclude with this short video, where Audette scored a power play goal:
