Forward Tanner Jeannot has signed a new contract

In the last few seconds, renowned Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported that the Tampa Bay Lightning have signed a two-year contract with fiery forward Tanner Jeannot.

Jeannot is known to fans for several reasons.

First, there was his famous fight against Montreal Canadiens' Arber Xhekaj.

And then there was his controversial trade at the most recent trade deadline.

Jeannot, 26 years old, 6 feet 2 inches and 208 pounds, has collected 4 points in 23 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning (27 penalty minutes).

He has just signed a new two-year contract in Tampa Bay, being a restricted free agent.
