Canada's team for the upcoming Olympic Games will not have the same brilliance due to the absence of National Hockey League players. Therefore, to fill sweaters, Canada will have to (had to) turn to ancient and some young players.
Rumor has it that the following players will be on the team's final roster:
Offense :
- Kent Johnson
- Adam Cracknell
- David Desharnais
- Landon Ferraro
- Eric Staal
- Daniel Winnik
- Daniel Carr
Defense :
- Owen Power
- Jason Demers
- Mark Barberio
No fewer than four players from the Canadiens are named: Desharnais, Staal, Carr and Barberio. Interesting.
The official and entire team that will be led by Claude Julien should be known soon since the Beijing Games will take place from February 4 to 20.
Stay on the lookout!
