A few weeks ago, National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman received some bad news when one of his biggest sponsors of the past 15 years (Gatorade).

This was obviously bad news for the league's portfolio.

Now, another big partner is pulling out and the NHL has just lost another big sponsor and therefore, lost a massive source of revenue.

This time, it's the Adidas company, which has made a big decision and has just indicated that it is ending its association with the Bettman circuit.

"BREAKING NEWS: @adidas will not return as the NHL's official uniform and apparel supplier when its contract expires after the 2023-24 season, multiple sources have confirmed to ESPN & @wyshynski." - Field hockey Jerseyz

So in a matter of weeks, the NHL has lost two very big sponsors (Gatorade and Adidas). Obviously, there will definitely be replacements (like BioSteel and/or Nike, for example), but still, it's definitely a cause for concern for the commissioner.

For a professional circuit, it's important to have good and long-lasting partnerships and also to have a solid negotiating leverage. With departures like this, it doesn't give the circuit much negotiating power to get the best deals possible.

One thing is for sure, soon it will be (already) over as far as jerseys, Adidas NHL Jerseys are concerned.

More details to follow!
