Georges Laraque just dropped a bomb on 91.9 Sports about forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi.
According to his information, if the Montreal Canadiens don't match the Hurricanes' hostile $6.1 million one-season offer for Jesperi Kotkaniemi, a contract extension would already be in place for KK in Carolina. According to him, the pact would be for a medium term, worth about $4 million annually.
If this information turns out to be true, it's quite a bomb that has just been dropped by Laraque. Remember that Marc Bergevin has 5 days left to decide if he will match the Canes' offer or if not, he will receive compensation including a first and third round pick in 2022.
Obviously, Don Waddell is ready to do anything to get the services of the Tricolore's Finnish forward. He would have definitely won KK's heart, thanks to some nice numbers on a checkbook from what we can deduce...
What will Marc Bergevin do?
