Several names have come out in the media in the last few days in order to find the next GM of the Montreal Canadiens.
The names of Mathieu Darche, Daniel Briere, Roberto Luongo, Patrick Roy, Danièle Sauvageau, Émilie Castonguay, Stéphane Quintal, Kent Hughes and Marc Denis have recently been mentioned according to several rumors.
Agent Kent Hughes will not be met by the organization, according to Elliotte Friedman during his podcast.
However, we should perhaps add that of Daniel Doré in the batch, according to the insider.
Who is Daniel Doré?
A 51-year-old French-speaking Quebecer, born in Ferme-Neuve in the Laurentians. He is a scout with the New York Rangers since the 2007-2008 season, so he knows Jeff Gorton very well. Moreover, they worked together with the Bruins, as Doré was also a scout in Boston from 1996 to 2007.
Remember that his name had been mentioned for the first time on November 28 by journalist Jared Book. This hypothesis is starting to take shape considerably.
Elliotte Friedman is one of the most reputable informants in the field, he never says anything for nothing.
