With the 138th pick in the 2019 NHL draft, the Habs selected Danish goalie Frederik Dichow.
The 6-foot-4, 192-pound behemoth is having the best season of his young professional career so far.
In 16 games with the Kristianstads club of the Allsvenskan League in Sweden, he has collected 10 wins, a 0.932% save percentage and a 2.02 goals-against average. Pretty good, right?
He may not be a star goaltender in the NHL, but there is no doubt that the Habs is watching him closely. Probably in the medium term, he will want to come to North America to continue his development.
With Dichow, Primeau, Vrbetic and Dobes on the roster, the Montreal Canadiens are in business in front of the net for years to come.
