Sidney Crosby, long considered the best player in the world before Connor McDavid arrived in the NHL, is a superior hockey player and human being. At no time has the number 87's notoriety changed his way of being or his involvement with his fans.
This was proven once again as Crosby fulfilled a young boy's dream. The Penguins captain stopped to take a picture with the boy in question, in what appears to be a grocery store. This photo taken with his favorite player allowed the youngster to achieve an incredible feat in his baseball league. This moment would have obviously given him the energy to achieve this.
"This is a message of appreciation for Mr. Sidney Crosby. You have proven yourself to be a true "superstar" in my eyes. You made my grandson's day by taking this picture with him and he will cherish it for the rest of his life. Afterwards, my grandson was able to hit a real single and a real double at his baseball game at Dartmouth. It was a day he will never forget. I don't know if Sid will ever get a chance to read this, but if more celebrities were like him to the youth, the world would be a much better place. Thank you, Sid! Signed, a truly impressed grandpa."
This was a very touching message from this grandfather, who had such a great time just like his grandson. One hopes very much that this message makes its way to Sidney Crosby, as he deserves to know that what he is doing is incredible, even exceptional.
