As you know, today, Montreal Canadiens GM Kent Hughes delivered a very interesting and generous press briefing.
He was asked about many subjects, including the possibility of trading the pick. He was also asked, in several different ways, about who he's going to draft with that famous first overall pick. (if he actually keeps him)
Kent Hughes finally agreed to partially reveal his game. We suspected as much, but it's nice to see him confirm it:
"Kent Hughes says the decision is between Wright, Slafkovsky and Cooley." - Eric Engels
He also talked about the difficulty of evaluating them, as one is playing in the junior ranks, one is playing against adults, and the other is at the U.S. college level.
Again, we'll say it again, we know this isn't the surprise of the century, but it was nice to see him name names.
So the Montreal Canadiens will be drafting, this week: Shane Wright or Juraj Slafkovsky or Logan Cooley. Maybe even two of the names on that list, Hughes didn't close the door on that possibility.
Anyway, it will be really interesting to see the verdict.
