With the team rebuilding and Hughes toning down expectations for uncompensated free agents, Habs fans are looking to the trade market to hopefully see some action around their favorite team this offseason.
Several rumors have been circulating for weeks regarding several of the team's players, be it Jonathan Drouin, Mike Hoffman, Christian Dvorak and of course, Jeff Petry and Josh Anderson.
As reported by the excellent Max Truman of Danslescoulisses.com, insider Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff has released his list of the 30 players most likely to be traded this summer.
Among them are two Canadiens color carriers, Jeff Petry at #12 and Josh Anderson at #30, so they would obviously be on the trade market. Kent Hughes is listening, but he will not trade them at any price, far from it!
Seravalli mentioned that the Habs were not willing to pay for Petry, but that the best thing for everyone would be to trade him to an American city. He also mentioned that he was a solid plan B in Pittsburgh, should the Penguins not be able to reach an agreement with Kristopher Letang.
As for Anderson, the tipster goes in the same direction as many experts by mentioning that Kent Hughes is getting a lot of calls for his power forward but unless he gets an offer he can't refuse, he should keep his services for the next season.
Obviously no one is going to fall off their chair with these revelations, but it's interesting to see that there is interest in these two players and that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton could have a nice game if they ever decide to trade them.
