In the last few minutes, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes was at a media availability, live from Brossard, and answered several questions from the media, including about his latest signing, Kirby Dach:
He also confirmed a big news regarding Carey Price:
Finally, he was asked about the current negotiations with young goaltender Cayden Primeau (and his agent), who is now the last (and only) CH player without a valid contract for next season.
Primeau is still a restricted free agent (RFA), but that could change quickly.
In a press conference this afternoon, Kent Hughes announced that he had a good conversation with Cayden Primeau's agent this morning and that he hopes to make an official announcement today.
Interesting:
"I spoke with his agent this morning and I think we're getting close to a deal. I wish it was today, but either way, I expect it to happen soon."
- Kent Hughes
We expect an announcement soon, from the CH, and it could be as soon as today.
Stay tuned!
