The Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes have been engaged in a little war, which was started by the Habs in 2019 with the hostile offer submitted to Sebastian Aho.

This summer, the Canes got their revenge by prying Jesperi Kotkaniemi from the Habs with a hostile offer that Marc Bergevin could not match. Since then, the Canes have been trolling the Habs on Twitter.

Moreover, according to a rumour, the CH would have denounced the Hurricanes' organization to the NHL in September, because they would have planned an "illegal" preparatory schedule.

In short, it doesn't end here!

However, the Carolina Hurricanes have made a significant gesture that proves that they would be willing to put water in their wine to make peace.

In honor of the International Day of Kindness, the Hurricanes made a donation to the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation.

Their message is pretty funny! "We may be a 'Bunch of jerks' but we are involved in the community."

The Canes have encouraged all hockey fans to donate to any NHL team's foundation for the cause. A gesture that proves their good faith, after all.
