When Carey Price met with the media earlier this week, he didn't want to mention the word retirement, but one suspects that his NHL career could very well be over.

Nevertheless, he seemed to be in good spirits and we can say that his last moments in the Habs uniform will remain forever engraved in the memory of the team's fans.

Of course, I'm referring to the Habs' 2021 playoff run, where Price led his team to the Stanley Cup Final, which they lost in five games to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

However, as Keven Mawn of Fanadiens.com reports, No. 31 has held down the fort despite numerous injuries.

By the way, his assistant in the 2021 playoffs, Jake Allen, said that no one around the team had any idea that Price was playing through pain. Price kept it all a secret.

"Jake Allen said no one in the Canadiens' locker room had any idea how badly Carey Price was injured in the 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs."

Allen also added that never during the playoffs Price complained about his health problems, playing with a knee injury and problems with a hip. This shows all the strength of character of the goalie and his desire to win a Stanley Cup.

Unbelievable!

Even if Carey Price didn't manage to win the big honors in a Habs uniform, he will at least have given the team's fans their best moments since 1993.

Thank you for everything Carey! This statement from Jake Allen makes his performance in the 2021 series even more special and incredibly impressive.
