With the atrocious start to the season that the Habs are having, it's safe to assume that the team will be in the sellers' camp by the trade deadline. But is the organization really ready to sell off older, expiring assets for youth?

One player that could be on the way out is goaltender Jake Allen. He has a very nice contract and could interest many teams in the Bettman circuit.

The Sabres' goaltending situation is currently the talk of the town, as veteran goaltender Craig Anderson will be out for quite some time with an upper-body injury. Could the Sabres be interested in Allen?

According to Friedman, he doesn't think that's an option for general manager Kevyn Adams, even though his team is in a strong playoff position. Instead, he believes the organization should give a chance to a young goalie like Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

Also, we still don't know when Carey Price will return to the game. Would the organization be ready to go to the front with Montembeault and Primeau? It would be surprising, but it is not impossible that Jake Allen leaves Montreal before the end of his contract.
