We all know that Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes are preparing to move some pieces of their organizational chart. Names like Ben Chiarot, Artturi Lehkonen and Jeff Petry are very popular.
About Petry, we have felt for a long time that he has the head elsewhere, he who realizes mental mistakes endlessly game after game. In his mind, he is no longer there, just like his family, which is no longer even in Montreal.
Add to this his lack of courage following the gesture of Zack Kassian on Samuel Montembeault. Not defending his young goaltender is a sign that he no longer wants to wear the Montreal Canadiens jersey. A lack of heart, nothing less.
Having said that, Hughes met with Petry when the team returned to Montreal and this is what emerged:
"General Manager Kent Hughes said he met Jeff Petry on the team's last road trip. Petry did NOT formally request an exchange, but Hughes told him that the team would move him if they found something that worked for both him and the Canadiens."
In short, expect to see number 26 leave the team by March 21st!
